About Wiltshire RTC

Wiltshire RTC is a structured football development centre delivering multiple programmes alongside
competitive squads competing in the Junior Premier League (JPL) and other regional leagues. Our
focus is long-term, holistic player development — building technically strong, tactically intelligent
and mentally resilient players.

Wiltshire RTC is not a professional academy, but we highly value the level of our coaching team
and structured coaching syllabus to accelerate player development. We aim to mirror academy
standards within our contact time and resources, providing motivated grassroots players with
access to a professional-style environment and clear progression pathways.

We provide programmes for boys and girls aged 5–16, plus a Young Coach Development pathway
for 15–19 year olds.

Development & Philosophy

Long-term development comes first. While we promote competitiveness, individual progression,
learning and character always take priority over short-term results.

Coaching Pathway

Yes. We have an FA Mentor and FA Coach Developer within our team and offer opportunities to observe, assist and develop. We also run a Young Adult Mentor Programme (15–19) supporting aspiring coaches within a structured environment.

Coaching Standards & Welfare

Sessions are delivered by experienced, FA and UEFA qualified coaches. Our staff include coaches working within Category 1 Academy environments and those with professional game experience. All coaches are DBS checked, safeguarding trained and First Aid qualified.
Player welfare is paramount. We operate within FA safeguarding standards and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment.

Trials & Entry

Entry into competitive squads typically requires attendance at a trial or assessment session. Trials help ensure players are placed at the appropriate level so that all individuals within the group can develop effectively. We also value hearing from players and families to ensure Wiltshire RTC is the right environment for them.

Payments

We operate a monthly coaching subscription model to support consistency and long-term development. Sessions can equate to approximately £4 per hour depending on programme and group size. Subscriptions allow us to maintain coaching standards, venues, equipment and analysis tools.
